Identec mini reader for "real" touch-free card. EC1 is typically used in installations where there is no need for a loop reader. Identecs Census readers use active cards / tags and are distinguished by being able to read multiple cards at a time. The reading speed is 55 cards per second. RF communication between card and reader is encrypted to exclude error reading and increase security. The error rate is below 1: 1,000,000. Using loop reader with external antenna, the reading distance can be increased to 3 meters. The reader is supplied with various outputs. Cards and tags have an indication of low battery voltage.
