NOX - Cases
Helsingborg Hospital
Helsingborg Hospital has been under renovation since 2015, a project that has also led to a switch to the combined burglar alarm and access control system NOX, provided by ARAS Security.
For Region Skåne, it was important to have a system that was open and at the same time powerful enough to meet all the Hospital's requirements.
"We chose NOX because we wanted an open system that had the capacity to build large facilities. The system is very flexible, and we have been able to influence the development, which was a prerequisite from the start," says Tord Johansson, operations expert. at Regionservice.
Integrated with building functions
ARAS Security continues the work with digitization at the hospital, and together with the company Swedsecur, integrations have been developed between NOX and the Hospital's pipe post system, waste and washing plant, and later in the year the integration with the elevator system will begin.
"The development work at the Hospital is about streamlining operations and making it easier for staff to carry out their work, while increasing security. In some cases, this means that we will develop new applications or integrations, which we have done with ARAS Security. We will see more of this way of working in the future, but it requires open systems and skilled developers," says Magnus Berndtsson, project manager at Swedsecur.
One-time codes for card readers
ARAS and Swedsecur have also provided a solution with one-time codes for the hospital's card readers. This idea was born of a real problem, as staff previously had to keep up and open doors for visitors and patients going from one ward to another. The solution was a web application developed by ARAS Security, where staff can easily create codes tailored to the visitor's destination.
"We have really had to show the power of NOX as an open system, and the strength of the fact that we ourselves develop integrations and other technical solutions for our customers. We prefer to take the customer's needs as a starting point rather than the system's technical conditions. This ensures that our development is relevant and the end result is always better. Both Region Skåne and Swedsecur have challenged us in a good way, and I feel that everyone is satisfied so far," says Victor Siösteen, CEO of ARAS Security Sweden.
At the hospital, NOX is used in both old and new buildings along with card readers, wireless doors from SmartIntego on medicine cabinets and wireless cylinders on medicine carts.
On NOX's management system SIMS, all users are gathered together with floor plans of the hospital, from which alarms and the access control system can be controlled.
